Level 3 Nursery Nurse/Key Worker
Salary: Grade 5
Job Term: Fixed Term for 1 year starting September 2022
Hours: 33.5 hours - This appointment will be over 5 days (Monday – Friday) post with key worker responsibility. The post is open to job share – please state your preference and days to be worked on the application form.

We require a full time Nursery Nurse/Key Worker/Teaching Assistant to join each of our friendly school which thrives on a strong team approach, fantastic children, high standards and a caring ethos. The post is open to job share – please state your preference and days to be worked on the application form. The post requires staff to attend staff meetings for an hour on Tuesdays 4pm to 5pm.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and hard-working applicants who have a good understanding of the principles of the EYFS and how young children learn and develop. We are delighted to be recruiting to our teaching team due to an increasing school roll for September 2022. We are a small, friendly, school with approximately 101 pupils on roll. The post will form part of a hardworking and very friendly staff team. You will be working in a wonderful nursery school where children are actively encouraged to be independent and explore our very natural setting. Key Worker duties include, but are not exclusive:
· Planning · Assessment & observation - responsibility for key children’s learning journeys
· Attend training, CPD
· Attend planning meetings, staff meetings
· Setting up the nursery
Appraisal targets will be set in line with the TA and Nursery Nurse agreed standards.
The role will include supporting individuals, small groups and child initiated play. Support all aspects of the nursery including setting up and maintaining high quality provision, health and safety checks, risk assessments, first aid, assessment and observation of children. Running Forest and Beach Schools.
Appointment will be on a fixed term basis for a year starting in September 2022. All applicants will be interviewed by a panel and be observed working with children in the nursery setting by a member of the SLT. Each question will be scored as will practice and the highest scoring applicant will be appointed to the post.
We have high expectations of children and staff at the nursery.
